SW Development Engineer - XEN and Realtime
The Role
The engineer will drive the success of power IP (Intellectual Property) and features in AMD products through strong technical leadership, cross-functional coordination, and resolution of dependencies while meeting schedule commitments.



This is a high-visibility role spanning pre-silicon architecture through post-silicon implementation and product delivery.

Key Responsibilities & Experience
- 8+ years of experience in Embedded Linux system software / kernel and driver development
- Strong programming skills in C and Linux kernel debugging
- Hands-on experience with Xen virtualization:
- Dom0 kernel, drivers, and I/O virtualization
- DomU integration and guest driver considerations
- Strong understanding of Real-Time Linux fundamentals:
- Determinism vs throughput trade-offs
- Latency and jitter analysis and mitigation
- Experience working with PREEMPT_RT kernels and real-time tuning:
- IRQ threading, priority inheritance, RT mutex behavior
- CPU isolation, affinity, cpusets/cgroups, NOHZ/full
