Data Centre Design Manager
Position Overview
The Data Centre Design Manager leads the planning, design, and delivery of mission-critical data centre infrastructure projects. This role requires deep technical expertise in data centre systems, solid project management capabilities, and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver world-class facilities that meet stringent reliability, efficiency, and scalability requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Design Leadership & Technical Direction Oversee all aspects of data centre design from concept through construction documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards (Uptime Institute, TIA-942, ASHRAE) and client-specific requirements. Lead design reviews and provide technical guidance on mechanical, electrical, fire protection, and architectural systems critical to data centre operations.
Project Management Manage design schedules, budgets, and resources across multiple concurrent projects. Coordinate internal teams and external consultants including MEP engineers, architects, structural engineers, and specialty contractors. Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and project milestones.
Stakeholder Coordination Serve as primary technical liaison between clients, design teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders. Translate business requirements into technical specifications. Present design concepts and progress updates to senio
