Description
The
Deputy Manager / Manager – EHS
is responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring and continuously improving the organization's Environment, Health & Safety Management System to ensure compliance with applicable legal requirements, corporate standards and industry best practices. The role is responsible for fostering a proactive safety culture while ensuring environmentally sustainable manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. EHS Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement the plant EHS strategy aligned with business objectives and corporate EHS policies.
- Establish annual EHS goals, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Integrate EHS requirements into recent projects, process changes, and plant expansion.
- Monitor EHS performance and present periodic reports to Plant Management and Corporate EHS.
- Drive a proactive safety culture and promote operational excellence.

2. Safety Management
- Establish, implement,



and monitor comprehensive occupational health and safety programs across the manufacturing facility.
- Conduct Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (HIRA), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Process Risk Assessments, and Environmental Aspect & Impact Assessments.
- Develop and review Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Standard Work Instructions for all manufacturing processes.
- Ensure effective implementation of: Permit to Work (PTW) System , Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) , Machine Guarding, Electrical Safety, Fire Safety, Confined Space Entry, Working at Height, Forklift & Material Handling Equipment Safety, Crane & Lifting Operations
- Monitor contractor safety, PPE compliance, shop-floor inspections, safety audits, and Behaviour-Based Safety (BBS) initiatives.
- Ensure safe operations across machining, winding, painting, powder coating, assembly, testing, utilities, warehouses, and maintenance.
