Job Description: Mechanical Engineering Intern (Prototyping & 3D Printing)

Role Overview:
As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will be an integral part of our multidisciplinary R&D; team, working closely with the Design Manager, Senior Engineers, and the CEO. This hands-on role is ideal for a recent mechanical engineering graduate or final-year student who loves building things and wants practical experience in rapid prototyping and product development. You will bridge the gap between digital design and physical reality by managing our in-house 3D printing operations, utilizing basic machining skills to build functional prototypes, and testing medical device mechanisms in a fast-paced startup setting.
Key Responsibilities
3D Print Operations:



Manage day-to-day operations of in-house 3D printers (FDM/SLA), including slicing CAD models, optimizing print parameters (supports, infill, orientation), machine maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Rapid Prototyping & Fabrication: Transform digital concepts into physical, functional mockups using 3D printing, basic workshop tools, and hardware integration.
Basic Machining & Finishing: Perform post-processing on 3D printed parts (sanding, painting, support removal) and utilize basic machining skills (drilling, tapping, cutting, basic lathe/milling operations) to modify parts and build test rigs.
CAD Modeling & Modification: Use CAD software to design mechanical enclosures, jigs, fixtures, and internal mechanisms. Modify existing industrial design files for optimal manufacturability and 3D printing (DF3DP).
Assembly & Testing: Assemble multi-part mechanical prototypes, integrate basic electronics or sens
