Job Details
This role focuses on end-to-end design and development of mechanical movement complications. The Senior Engineer is responsible for conceptualizing, simulating, prototyping, validating, and releasing technical data for complex movement designs. The role also supports reliability improvement initiatives, competitive benchmarking, and ensures manufacturability and standardization across recent movement platforms.
Designing of High-End Mechanical complications
Designing High end mechanical complications, interacting with NPD / DEC / Brand to adhere to the new product requirement,
Use CAD and FEA tools for layouts and simulations
Create technical design documents
Propose recent features and improvements
Support movement portfolio enhancement
Documentation
Release of Product drawings, profile charts and technical data
Maintain version control and documentation
Ensure release readiness for production
Proto validation and DFM / DFA
Coordinate PoC prototyping and testing
Validate functions through proto
Incorporate feedback into final design
Incorporating Mfg. Shop feedback after Proto trials on product drawing for mass manufacturing
Conduct DFMEA sessions with relevant stakeholders
Identify and resolve design risks
Improve long-term reliability
Support manufacturing and assembly teams
Apply DFM/DFA principles
Solve design-related production issues
Work Experience
Minimum 4 years of experience in 3D modelling using SolidWorks and/or Creo
Strong knowledge of mechanical movement functions
Ability to design, analyze, and develop new mechanical movement mechanisms
Closely work with the MIND design team on current movement engineering designs
Provide effective engineering solutions for new and complex mechanisms
Interact and collaborate with the MACRO team for further development and implementation of designs
