Insurance Underwriting Intern

Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Insurance Underwriting Team. The candidate will be trained in understanding insurance risks, analysing client information, preparing underwriting submissions and supporting the team in obtaining and evaluating insurance quotations.

Key Responsibilities

Understand the client's business, operations and risk profile.

Assist in preparing RFQs, underwriting submissions and risk descriptions.

Collect and analyse information required for insurance underwriting.

Support underwriting of Fire, Engineering, Marine, Liability, Group Health and other commercial insurance products.

Coordinate with clients and insurers for required information and clarifications.

Compare insurance quotations, premiums, terms, conditions, deductibles and exclusions.

Maintain underwriting data, Excel sheets and internal records.





Conduct basic research on industries, occupancies, risks and insurance products.

Assist senior underwriters in day-to-day underwriting and placement activities.

Eligibility

Graduate in any discipline – B.Com, BBA, BA, B.Sc., B.Tech or equivalent.

Freshers are welcome.

Good working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.

Positive analytical, communication and documentation skills.

Attention to detail and willingness to learn.

Prior insurance knowledge is not mandatory.

Ideal Candidate A quick learner with an analytical mindset and solid attention to detail, who is interested in developing a career in Insurance Underwriting and Risk Assessment.

Pay: ₹7,000.00 per month
