Key responsibilities:
Patient Management: Assess and treat critically ill patients, managing conditions like organ failure, sepsis, and respiratory distress.
Procedures: Perform and interpret advanced life support techniques, including central venous catheter insertion, chest tube insertion, and mechanical ventilation management.
Clinical Rounds & Documentation: Conduct daily, structured, multi-disciplinary rounds, document progress notes, and manage treatment plans.
Communication: Counsel patient families regarding prognoses, end-of-life decisions, and treatment plans.
Team Leadership: Coordinate with nurses, specialists, and allied health staff to ensure patient safety and compliance with ICU protocols.
Emergency Care: Lead resuscitation efforts and manage acute, life-threatening situations.
