Read Blueprints: Interpret complex CAD drawings and specifications to understand die and mold assemblies.
Precision Fitting: Fit inserts, sub-inserts, guide pillars, ejector pins, and slides into core and cavity housings.
Matching & Alignment: Perform parting line blue-matching and check for clearances, cutting angles, and shut-off faces.
Operate conventional tool room machines like lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, and drill presses to shape die components.
File, grind, stone, and polish metal surfaces to achieve required tolerances and micro-finishes.
Conduct preventive maintenance, inspect for wear/damage, and repair broken dies and molds.
Test completed molds and dies by running trial pieces or sampling to ensure quality production.
Troubleshoot issues during press runs or molding cycles.
