Implement and monitor safety policies, SOPs, and PPE compliance across production, stores, utilities, and maintenance areas.
Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments (HIRA), and shop-floor audits; close out identified hazards/non-conformities.
Investigate accidents, near-misses, and incidents; prepare root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive action reports.
Maintain statutory registers and ensure compliance with the Factories Act, 1948, and applicable Kerala Factories Rules (accident register, Form-related returns, licenses, etc.).
Conduct safety induction training for current employees and periodic refresher training/toolbox talks for workers.
Ensure fire safety systems, first-aid facilities, emergency exits, and mock drills (fire, evacuation) are in place and regularly tested.
Coordinate Permit-to-Work systems for hazardous jobs (hot work, confined space,
working at height, electrical LOTO).
Liaise with the Factory Inspectorate, Fire Department, Pollution Control Board, and other statutory bodies for inspections/audits.
Monitor machine guarding, material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet trucks), and boiler/utility area safety.
Ensure food-safety-linked safety practices (chemical handling, pest control, hygiene areas) align with FSSAI/GMP requirements where relevant.
Maintain PPE stock, safety signage, and MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) for chemicals used in the plant.
Prepare monthly EHS reports, safety KPIs, and present to plant management.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
