Purchase Officer – Steel Industry

Salary: Up to ₹22,000 per month (Based on experience)

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Purchase Officer with a strong background in the steel manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in procurement activities, vendor coordination, purchase documentation, and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities
Handle procurement of raw materials, consumables, and other purchase requirements.
Identify, negotiate, and manage vendor relationships.
Prepare Purchase Orders (POs) and maintain purchase records.
Compare quotations and negotiate pricing with suppliers.
Coordinate with stores, production, and accounts teams for timely material availability.
Track deliveries and ensure timely receipt of materials.
Maintain inventory levels and coordinate replenishment.




Ensure accurate purchase documentation and compliance with company procedures.

Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Purchase Officer in the steel manufacturing industry.
Good knowledge of procurement processes and vendor management.
Experience in purchase documentation, inventory coordination, and material planning.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/Tally is preferred.
