We are looking for a passionate and experienced Dog Trainer who understands dogs, their behaviour, and how to build trust with them. The ideal candidate should be confident handling dogs of different sizes, breeds, temperaments, and energy levels.

What You'll Do
Train dogs on basic commands such as sit, stay, come, down, leave it, and heel
Handle dogs with different temperaments, including energetic, anxious, fearful, and difficult-to-handle dogs
Understand and interpret dog behaviour and body language
Use positive and appropriate training techniques to build trust and confidence
Help improve basic obedience, manners, and social behaviour
Work closely with the Pawkie Planet team to ensure dogs receive consistent care and training
Observe behavioural issues and communicate them clearly to the team and pet parents




Maintain a safe and controlled environment during training sessions
Support dogs during their stay with us and help them become more comfortable in a new setting

What We're Looking For
Prior experience working as a Dog Trainer or in professional dog handling
Solid understanding of dog behaviour and body language
Ability to confidently handle dogs of all temperaments
Good knowledge of basic obedience training
Patient, calm, and compassionate approach towards dogs
Comfortable working with multiple dogs in a boarding and daycare setting
Strong observation and communication skills
A genuine love for dogs and their wellbeing

Good to Have
Experience with boarding, daycare, grooming, or pet care facilities
Experience handling behavioural challenges
Certification in dog training or animal behaviour
