Chief Accountant – Supermarket Chain

Location: Chingavanam, Kotttayam Employment Type: Full‑time Experience Required: Senior level (7–12 years)

Key Responsibilities
Financial Statements & Reporting
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
Consolidate accounts for group reporting and ensure timely submission to management.
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
In-depth Knowledge in dealing with Statuary governing bodies like Labour Dept ,EPF, ESI , GST and ROC.
Reconciliations & Controls
Manage and review all ledger reconciliations (bank, suppliers, intercompany, inventory).
Ensure accuracy of accounts payable, receivable, and cash management.
Implement solid internal controls across all branches.
Audit & Compliance
Coordinate with internal and external auditors; ensure audit readiness.




Ensure compliance with ROC (Registrar of Companies) requirements and other statutory filings.
Maintain adherence to tax regulations, VAT compliance, and regulatory updates.
Retail & Inventory Accounting
Monitor daily sales, cash collections, and POS reconciliations.
Oversee inventory valuation, shrinkage analysis, and stock audits.
Support cost control initiatives across stores.
Team Leadership
Supervise and mentor accounting staff across branches.
Streamline accounting processes and improve operational efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance; M.Com / CA-Inter
Strong knowledge of financial preparation, reconciliations, audit processes, and ROC compliance.
Experience in group reporting and consolidation.
Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in retail or FMCG.
Proficiency in Retail ERP systems
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
