Core Responsibilities
Supervise day-to-day pharmacy operations
Ensure accurate dispensing of medications as per prescriptions
Maintain compliance with healthcare laws and pharmacy regulations
Monitor drug storage conditions (temperature, expiry, safety)
Handle patient/customer queries regarding medicines
Inventory & Stock Management
Maintain adequate stock levels of medicines and supplies
Track expiry dates and remove outdated drugs
Coordinate with suppliers and place orders
Prevent stock shortages or overstocking
Maintain proper records of controlled substances
Staff Supervision
Manage pharmacists, technicians, and support staff
Assign duties and prepare work schedules
Train staff on procedures and safety guidelines
Ensure discipline and smooth workflow
Compliance & Documentation
Ensure adherence to drug control regulations and hospital policies
Maintain prescription records, billing, and reports
Prepare documentation for audits and inspections
Implement quality control standards
Patient Care & Safety
Provide guidance on drug usage, dosage, and side effects
Ensure patient confidentiality
Monitor adverse drug reactions and report if necessary
Promote safe and rational use of medicines
Financial & Administrative Duties
Oversee billing and revenue generation
Control costs and minimize wastage
Prepare reports for management
Handle insurance/TPA-related processes (if applicable)
Required Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s or Diploma in Pharmacy (B.Pharm / D.Pharm)
Registered Pharmacist (as per local regulatory authority)
Solid knowledge of medicines and drug interactions
Leadership and team management skills
Valuable communication and organizational abilities
Attention to detail and accuracy
