Position: Coffee Maker / Barista

Department: Kaapi Kadai Cafeteria
Location: Adyar Showroom
Reports To: Café Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Coffee Maker / Barista to join our premium Kaapi Kadai cafeteria. The candidate should have hands-on experience in preparing coffee and beverages and be passionate about delivering an exceptional customer experience in a Starbucks-style café environment.

Key Responsibilities

Beverage Preparation

Prepare and serve high-quality beverages including:
South Indian Filter Coffee
Espresso
Cappuccino
Latte
Americano
Mocha
Hot and Iced Coffee
Tea Varieties
Fresh Juices and Other Refreshments
Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation.
Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other café equipment.

Customer Service
Welcome customers warmly and provide excellent service.
Understand customer preferences and recommend beverages accordingly.
Ensure timely preparation and service of orders.
Maintain a pleasant and premium café experience.

Hygiene & Maintenance
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the cafeteria.




Follow food safety and quality procedures.
Keep workstations and equipment clean and organized.
Ensure proper storage of ingredients and supplies.

Candidate Profile
1–3 years of experience as a Barista, Coffee Maker, or Beverage Specialist.
Knowledge of preparing coffee-based beverages and operating espresso machines.
Familiarity with coffee brewing techniques and beverage presentation.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work in shifts and handle busy customer hours.
Passion for coffee and hospitality.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in premium café brands such as Starbucks, Third Wave Coffee, Café Coffee Day, Barista, Costa Coffee, or similar establishments will be preferred.
