Summary

We are looking for an experienced Data Platform Engineer with solid expertise in AWS Services, Python and Terraform.

Job Description

Act as hands on technical lead across data engineering workstreams
Design, build, and optimise large scale data pipelines and data lake solutions
Build and maintain AWS native data platforms
Implement DevOps and Infrastructure as Code practices using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines
Ensure configuration as code principles are consistently applied
Embed automated testing and data quality best practices
Provide technical direction and mentoring to engineers within the team

Required Skills & Experience





Proven Lead / Principal level Engineering experience in a large or enterprise organisation
Extensive experience with AWS data services, including:

Glue

S3

Lake Formation

EventBridge

Lambda

Robust experience building data pipelines and data lake architectures
Solid DevOps experience including Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Jenkins
Working knowledge of AWS SageMaker Studio
Advanced programming skills in Python
Experience with API integration and configuration as code approaches
Robust analytical skills with the ability to investigate and reconcile large datasets
Experience implementing automated testing methodologies
