Job Purpose

To deliver high-quality English lessons aligned with the Cambridge curriculum, enabling students to develop excellent communication, reading, writing, speaking, listening, and critical thinking skills through inquiry-based, student-centred learning. The teacher will prepare students for Cambridge Progression Tests, Checkpoint, IGCSE, or other relevant Cambridge assessments while fostering a lifelong love for language and literature. Key Responsibilities1. Curriculum Delivery
Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Cambridge English curriculum.
Teach Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening skills.
Develop grammar, vocabulary and language accuracy.
Encourage creativity through stories, novels, poetry, drama and presentations.
Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs.
Integrate inquiry-based and experiential learning approaches. (Cambridge English)




Lesson Planning
Prepare annual curriculum plans, unit plans and weekly lesson plans.
Develop learning objectives aligned with Cambridge learning outcomes.
Create engaging classroom activities and projects.
Use ICT and digital learning resources effectively.
Prepare worksheets, rubrics and enrichment activities.
Student Assessment
Conduct formative and summative assessments.
Prepare question papers following Cambridge assessment standards.
Assess Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening skills.
Maintain assessment records and student portfolios.
Analyse student performance and provide targeted interventions.
Prepare students for Cambridge Checkpoint/IGCSE examinations where applicable. (LinkedIn)
