Social Science Teacher (CBSE)

Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified, enthusiastic, and student-focused Social Science Teacher to join our CBSE school. The candidate will be responsible for teaching Social Science (History, Geography, Political Science/Civics, and Economics) as per the CBSE curriculum, fostering critical thinking, and creating an engaging classroom environment that supports students' academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities
Teach Social Science to students in accordance with the CBSE curriculum and guidelines.
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lesson plans using activity-based and experiential learning methods.
Teach subjects including History, Geography, Political Science (Civics), and Economics.
Prepare question papers, assignments, worksheets, projects, and assessments aligned with CBSE learning outcomes.
Evaluate student performance through formative and summative assessments and maintain accurate academic records.
Encourage inquiry-based learning, critical thinking, research, and problem-solving skills.
Integrate technology,



smart classroom tools, and digital resources into teaching.
Provide academic support and guidance to students and communicate their progress to parents during PTMs.
Maintain discipline and create a protected, inclusive, and positive classroom workplace.
Participate in school assemblies, examinations, co-curricular activities, educational excursions, and other school events.
Collaborate with colleagues to implement school policies and achieve academic excellence.
Stay updated with CBSE circulars, curriculum changes, competency-based education, and NEP 2020 guidelines.

Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, or a related Social Science discipline.
Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from a recognized institution (mandatory).
CTET/TET qualification preferred (where applicable).
