Interior Designer Roles & Responsibilities
Develop concept designs, mood boards, and space planning layouts.
Prepare detailed 2D drawings (plans, elevations, sections) and 3D models/renders.
Talk to clients and understand their requirements, budget and design preferences.
Create material palettes including laminates, veneers, finishes, lighting, fabrics and hardware.
Prepare working drawings for execution (civil, electrical, plumbing, false ceiling, flooring, furniture and joinery details).
Coordinate with vendors, and site engineers.
Visit project sites if needed to monitor execution and ensure design compliance.
Resolve site-related design issues and provide technical solutions.
Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities), material specifications and estimates.
Ensure projects are completed within budget, quality standards and timelines.
Stay updated with the latest interior design trends, materials, products and technologies.

Maintain proper project documentation and client communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Preferred Candidate Profile




Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Interior Design or Architecture.
2 to 5 years of experience in residential and commercial interior projects (adjust based on your requirement).
Proficient in:
AutoCAD
SketchUp
V-Ray / Enscape / Lumion
3ds Max
Adobe Photoshop
MS Office
Robust knowledge of:
Space planning
Modular furniture
Wardrobe and kitchen detailing
False ceiling design
Electrical and lighting layouts
Material specifications and finishes
Site execution and coordination
Ability to interpret client requirements into practical design solutions.
Valuable communication and presentation skills.
Robust attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of BOQ preparation, budgeting and vendor coordination is preferred.
Valid driving license and willingness to travel to project sites (if required).
