Senior Quality Assurance Officer (Jute Packaging)

Role Summary:

This position is responsible for establishing Jute packaging processes and packaging development at Al Maha. This role involves collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders to meet both Indian and international standards.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Packaging Development:
Deliver and implement new packaging development project in the given time frame.
Maintain packaging costing for new/existing packaging projects.
Review of printed packaging material/ Artwork approvals.
R&D; recent trends in packaging across globe.
Coordinate & arrange approvals on printed Shade cards of all packaging.
Sustainability development of packaging material
Lead cost Optimization of Jute packaging material
Conversant with vendor management, new vendor on-boarding, tracking and market trend analysis.
Conduct functional testing of packaging material.

Process:
Conducting periodical reviews of Jute packaging material and process




Checking methods/process adopted for getting defect free packaging material
Development of recent artwork and keeping record of all approved artworks
Prepare the specification of packaging material
Coordinate and establish shade card approval system
Implement online artwork approval system (process-based approach)
Coordinate with supplier for shipment Plan, DOTIF, Priority shipment schedule
Manage priorities and help cross functional teams focus on top initiatives.

Audit & Checks:
Preparation of plan for periodical audits at manufacturing units and vendors to ensuring proper quality checks.
Develop team workplace in the department and resolve all packing issues in coordination with the quality department.
Investigating and Analysing to strengthen prevention of complaints
Ensuring completion and maintenance of all packaging related documents like BOM, Change Control in a system
Timely internal packaging
