About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced
Project Manager
to oversee payroll processing operations and ensure smooth delivery of client projects. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in
payroll management
, possess excellent
team leadership skills
, and demonstrate solid
client coordination abilities
. This role requires a proactive qualified capable of managing multiple priorities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution of payroll processes.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage end-to-end payroll processing
for multiple clients.
Supervise and guide the payroll team to ensure accurate and timely processing of monthly payroll activities.
Coordinate with internal teams and external clients for data collection, validation, and issue resolution.
Manage client communications effectively—understand requirements, address queries, and provide timely updates.
Plan and allocate team tasks to ensure deadlines and service-level agreements (SLAs) are met.
Review payroll reports, statutory compliance submissions (PF, ESI, PT, TDS, etc.),



and ensure adherence to legal and company standards.
Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and client satisfaction.
Handle escalations and troubleshoot payroll discrepancies in coordination with the client and internal teams.
Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews to maintain operational excellence.
Prepare and present project status reports and performance metrics to management.
Support new client transitions and onboarding documentation.

Proven experience in

within the payroll or HR operations domain.
Hands-on experience with
Ascent Payroll
software will be an added value. Helps in current client transition
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
