Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer with strong expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, and hands-on experience in the Cards & Payments domain. The ideal candidate should have experience in developing, enhancing, and supporting mission-critical mainframe applications, with a strong understanding of payment processing, card lifecycle management, and transaction systems.

Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and enhance Mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS.
Analyze business requirements and provide technical solutions for Cards & Payments applications.
Design, code, test, debug, and implement high-quality software solutions.
Develop and optimize SQL queries and DB2 database objects.
Perform impact analysis and support production releases.
Investigate and resolve production incidents within SLA timelines.
Participate in system integration, unit testing, and user acceptance testing.
Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.




Prepare technical documentation and support knowledge transfer activities.
Ensure compliance with coding standards and best development practices.

Required Technical Skills
Robust hands-on experience in COBOL
Good knowledge of JCL
Strong experience with DB2
Experience with CICS
VSAM knowledge is an added advantage
Valuable understanding of File Handling and Batch Processing
Robust SQL and performance tuning skills
Experience with Endevor, Changeman, or other version control tools
Exposure to scheduling tools such as CA7 or Control-M is preferred

Domain Experience
Mandatory experience in Cards & Payments domain.
Good understanding of:

Authorization and Clearing
Settlement and Reconciliation
Card Issuing and Acquiring
Transaction Processing
Chargebacks and Disputes
Card Lifecycle Management
Payment Networks (Visa, Mastercard, RuPay, etc.)
