Laparoscopic General Surgeon (Experienced in Gynecological Laparoscopic Procedures)

Job Summary

The Laparoscopic General Surgeon is responsible for providing comprehensive surgical care through minimally invasive (laparoscopic) and open surgical techniques. The surgeon will diagnose, evaluate, and manage patients requiring general surgical procedures and, where appropriately trained and credentialed, perform selected gynecological laparoscopic procedures in collaboration with the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology. The consultant is expected to maintain high standards of patient safety, ethical practice, and quality clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Responsibilities
Evaluate and manage patients requiring general surgical intervention.
Perform elective and emergency laparoscopic and open general surgical procedures.
Conduct outpatient consultations (OPD), inpatient rounds, emergency assessments, and follow-up care.




Perform pre-operative evaluation, obtain informed consent, and provide post-operative management.
Collaborate with anesthesiologists, radiologists, physicians, gynecologists, and other specialists for multidisciplinary patient care.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of clinical records, operative notes, and discharge summaries.
