Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement
Source and procure raw materials, packing materials, consumables, engineering spares, and other indirect materials.
Obtain quotations from approved vendors and prepare comparative statements.
Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and commercial conditions.
Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) as per approved purchase requisitions.
Ensure timely procurement to avoid production interruptions.

Vendor Management
Identify and develop current suppliers.
Maintain positive relationships with existing vendors.
Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, cost, delivery, and service.
Coordinate with vendors for timely delivery and issue resolution.

Inventory Coordination
Coordinate with Stores to monitor stock levels.
Ensure optimum inventory by avoiding shortages and excess stock.
Track material requirements based on production plans.

Documentation & Compliance
Maintain purchase records, quotations, purchase orders, and vendor documents.
Ensure compliance with company procurement procedures.




Verify invoices against purchase orders and goods receipt before processing for payment.
Maintain accurate procurement data in ERP/software.

Coordination
Coordinate with Production, Quality, Engineering, Stores, Accounts, and Logistics departments.
Follow up with suppliers regarding dispatch schedules and delivery commitments.
Resolve procurement-related issues promptly.

Cost Control
Identify opportunities for cost reduction.
Monitor market price trends and recommend alternative sources.
Support annual cost-saving initiatives.

Reporting
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly purchase reports.
Update management on pending purchase orders, vendor performance, and material availability.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Experience
2–5 years of experience in Purchase/Procurement in a manufacturing ind
