Description:
Role Objective:
To lead and implement Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) systems and processes at renewable energy project sites (Wind & Solar), ensuring compliance with statutory norms, industry standards, and organizational safety policies to achieve secure and sustainable project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
EHS Management at Site
Lead the implementation of EHS management systems during project construction & commissioning phases.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws, statutory requirements, and renewable energy industry standards.
Develop and execute project-specific HSE plans, risk assessments, and method statements.
Safety Supervision & Monitoring
Monitor all site activities (civil, mechanical, electrical, lifting, working at height, excavation, transmission line works) to ensure protected practices.
Conduct regular site inspections, hazard identification, and corrective action follow-up.
Ensure PTW (Permit to Work) system is followed rigorously.
Training & Awareness
Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks,
and refresher training programs for site teams, contractors, and subcontractors.
Promote a culture of safety, wellbeing, and accountability at site.
Incident Management
Investigate incidents/accidents, conduct root cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective & preventive actions.
Maintain records of near misses, unsafe conditions, and share learnings across projects.
Contractor & Stakeholder Management
Ensure contractors comply with companys EHS guidelines and statutory requirements.
Conduct contractor EHS capability evaluation and audits.
Sustainability & Setting
Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental management practices (waste disposal, dust & noise control, water usage, biodiversity protection).
Support ESG and sustainability initiatives at site.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain EHS MIS, dashboards, and statutory records.
