Billing Executive manages patient invoicing for inpatient (IP) and outpatient (OP) services, ensuring accurate charge capture, insurance/TPA claims processing, and revenue collection.

Key duties involve reconciling medical records with charges, handling patient billing queries, processing cashless approvals, and ensuring compliance with hospital tariffs and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
Inpatient (IP) Billing: Review patient records, accurately capture charges for room rent, pharmacy, lab tests, and clinical procedures, and manage the final discharge billing process.
Outpatient (OP) Billing: Generate quick, accurate bills for consultations, diagnostic tests, and daycare procedures.
Insurance & TPA Management: Verify insurance, submit pre-authorization requests, liaise with TPAs, and follow up on pending approvals.
Payment Collection & Reconciliation: Process payments via cash, cards, and online methods; maintain daily collection reports.




Discrepancy Resolution: Address billing disputes, correct errors, and coordinate with nurses/doctors to verify treatment details.
Compliance: Adhere to legal requirements and hospital policies regarding billing and data confidentiality.

Required Skills and Qualifications
Education: Bachelors degree
Experience: 1–3+ years in a hospital billing department.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Hospital Information Systems (HIS) software, medical billing software, and MS Office (Excel).
Key Competencies: Excellent communication (handling patients), high attention to detail, and knowledge of insurance procedures.
