Job Summary

Niraamaya Retreats Surya Samudra, Kovalam is seeking an experienced Executive Chef with a proven background in luxury wellness resorts. The ideal candidate will lead all culinary operations, create cutting-edge wellness-focused menus, and deliver exceptional dining experiences that complement the resort's holistic wellness philosophy.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
Develop and curate wellness-focused menus, including Ayurvedic, healthy, organic, vegetarian, vegan, and therapeutic cuisine.
Collaborate with the Wellness and Ayurveda teams to design personalized meal plans for guests.
Manage kitchen staff through training, mentoring, and performance management.
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene,



and sanitation standards.
Monitor food costs, inventory, procurement, and kitchen budgets.
Drive culinary innovation while maintaining consistency and operational excellence.

Mandatory Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel Management, or a related field.
Minimum 8–10 years of culinary experience, with at least 3 years as an Executive Chef or Sous Chef in a luxury wellness resort.
Prior experience in a luxury wellness resort is mandatory. Applications from candidates without relevant wellness resort experience will not be considered.
Robust expertise in wellness cuisine, Ayurvedic diets, organic cuisine, and therapeutic meal planning.
Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
Thorough knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
