Key Responsibilities
Labour Law & Statutory Compliance
Ensure compliance with all applicable Indian labour laws including:
Factories Act, 1948
Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) Act, 1970
Employees Provident Fund & Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952
Employees State Insurance Act, 1948
Shops & Establishments Act (as applicable)
Monitor amendments and regulatory updates; ensure timely implementation across plants.
Contract Labour Compliance
Oversee compliance related to contract labour across plant locations.
Ensure valid licenses of contractors and principal employer registrations.
Monitor contractor compliance (PF, ESI, wages, statutory perks).
Maintain records, registers, and documentation as per statutory requirements.
Factory Compliance
Manage factory license applications, renewals, and amendments.
Coordinate with plant teams for inspections and regulatory approvals.
Statutory Returns & Documentation
Ensure timely filing of all statutory returns related to:
PF, ESI, Labour Welfare Fund
Factory returns
Contract labour returns
Annual and half-yearly statutory filings
Maintain accurate compliance records, registers, and digital documentation.
Audits & Inspections
Coordinate and support internal and external audits (statutory, labour, and regulatory).
Ensure closure of audit observations within defined timelines.
Compliance Governance & Reporting
Develop and maintain compliance trackers and dashboards.
Provide periodic MIS and compliance reports to senior management.
Identify risks and recommend corrective/preventive actions.
Key Skills & Competencies
Robust knowledge of Indian labour laws and statutory compliance
Experience in plant/manufacturing compliance (preferably pharma)
Ability to manage multiple locations remotely
Solid coordination and stakeholder management skills
Educational Qualification
MBA / PGDM in HR / Personnel Management / Labour Laws
