Your Impact
As a QA/QC Civil Engineer, you will ensure that all civil construction activities meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. You will play a critical role in supervising contractors, reviewing technical documents, and maintaining rigorous quality control throughout project execution.
Roles and Responsibilities
Scope Review: Review and understand scope of works and BOQ, SOQ based on client contracts.
Engineering Knowledge: Apply sound knowledge of civil engineering principles and Indian Standard Codes.
Construction Supervision: Ensure contractors execute activities per drawings, specifications, and codes.
Survey & Level Control: Establish benchmarks, check layouts, and verify structures before foundation works.
Drawing Clarification: Study drawings, raise RFIs for discrepancies, and obtain clarifications.
Quality Plan Review: Review and approve QAP, ITPs, and work procedures or method statement submitted by contractors.
Compliance Monitoring: Monitor adherence to approved quality plans and ITPs during execution.
Non-Conformance Management: Issue non-compliance notes for substandard work and track corrective actions.
Testing & Documentation: Witness contractor tests, record results, and maintain documentation.
QC Checklist/Inspection Format: Ensure QC check sheets are prepared and maintained for executed works.
Concrete Authorization: Authorize concrete pours after inspection and verify structures post-concreting in accordance with approved Mix Design.
Bar Bending Schedule: Review and approve bar bending schedules for RCC works.
Interdisciplinary Coordination: Coordinate with other discipline engineers for release of construction fronts.
Punch List Management: Prepare punch lists, follow up with contractors for closure.
Billing & Variations: Scrutinize and certify RA bills, maintain joint measurement records for variations.
HSE Implementation: Ensure adherence to HSE procedures during execution.
