The Supplier Account Manager is responsible for managing strategic relationships with assigned suppliers to ensure cost, quality, and delivery performance aligning with organizational goals. This role involves end-to-end supply chain engagement, supplier qualification, and risk mitigation for Box build BTP assemblies.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, qualify, and develop strategic suppliers for Box build/BTP assemblies/sheet Metals.
Build and maintain solid relationships with assigned suppliers
Conduct regular supplier capability/capacity assessments to support Applied Materials demand and mitigating supply chain risks
Measure supplier KPI's covering cost, quality, Delivery and Lead time.
Identify alternate sources to enhance capacity, mitigate supply risks and ensure continuity
Continuously evaluate market trends, cost structures and identify opportunities for cost reduction and maintain competitive pricing
Negotiate commercial terms and contracts with suppliers that provide the structure for all business relationships between Applied Materials and the supply base
Collaborate with engineering teams to qualify new suppliers and materials meeting the cost targets and material specifications
Act as the escalation point for supplier issues and drive resolution
Aligns and implements commodity strategies
Engages recent supplier introduction and/or disengagement requirements to/from the Applied Materials supply base
Support resolution to systemic supply chain issues affecting quality, cost, delivery or lead-time
