The QA team supports validation of complex energy-domain platforms used for geoscience, reservoir modeling, and exploration workflows. These platforms involve large-scale datasets and domain-specific computations, requiring strong validation practices across functional, integration, and system testing. The QA function is evolving towards automation and cloud-based validation with AWS and Azure, ensuring faster releases with maintained quality. Responsibilities
Design and execute functional and integration test scenarios
Validate geoscience or EP workflows within applications
Work with cloud-based environments (AWS / Azure)
Contribute to test automation frameworks and strategy
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Dev, DevOps, Product)
Document test cases
Perform defect tracking and root cause analysis
Communicate and escalate issues clearly and promptly.
Stay current with existing and emerging technologies relevant to the role.
Document processes, configurations, and procedures accurately and maintain up-to-date records.
Collaborate effectively with remote teams across multiple locations.
Skills
Must have
Experience and Technical Skills:
3+ years of testing experience in the following:
Geoscience or EP domain expertise with OpenWorks experience
Ansible
Terraform
Azure / AWS deployment understanding
Test documentation
Oracle / PostgreSQL / SQLite
Documentation using AsciiDoc
