Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to manage and supervise mechanical maintenance activities in a heavy industrial plant. The ideal candidate should have robust expertise in preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery, with hands-on experience in Coke Oven, Steel Plant, or Heavy Engineering industries. The role requires ensuring maximum equipment availability, minimizing downtime, and leading maintenance teams to support uninterrupted plant operations.

Key Responsibilities
Manage and supervise day-to-day mechanical maintenance activities across the plant.
Execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery and equipment.
Ensure smooth operation and maintenance of conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, bearings,



and material handling systems.
Diagnose equipment failures and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
Plan and execute maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime.
Lead and supervise maintenance technicians, fitters, and contractors.
Coordinate with production and other departments to ensure uninterrupted plant operations.
Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
Maintain records of maintenance activities, equipment history, breakdown analysis, and spare parts inventory.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, maintenance procedures, and statutory guidelines.
Support the HOD in maintenance planning, manpower allocation, budgeting, and technical decision - making.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve plant productivity and equipment reliability.
