Job Summary

The Estimate & Costing / BOQ Expert is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), project budgets, and material take-offs for modular, customized, institutional, commercial, and residential furniture projects. The role requires a thorough understanding of furniture manufacturing processes, materials, hardware, finishes, and installation requirements to ensure competitive pricing while maintaining profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Estimation & Costing
Prepare detailed cost estimates for modular and customized furniture projects.
Analyze architectural drawings, interior layouts, shop drawings, and specifications.
Calculate material quantities including plywood, MDF, particle board, laminates, veneers, solid wood, acrylic, glass, metal, and hardware.
Estimate manufacturing, polishing, upholstery, packaging, transportation, and installation costs.
Prepare project-wise budgets and cost sheets.

BOQ Preparation
Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs) from architectural and interior drawings.




Generate quantity take-offs for furniture, fixtures, and joinery works.
Ensure BOQs comply with project specifications and tender requirements.
Revise BOQs based on design changes and site modifications.

Tender & Quotation Management
Prepare technical and commercial quotations.
Review RFQs, tenders, and bid documents.
Coordinate with procurement for vendor quotations.
Compare supplier quotations and prepare comparative statements.
Assist management in bid submissions.

Cost Analysis
Monitor project costs against estimated budgets.
Identify prospects for value engineering and cost optimization.
Analyze material wastage and recommend cost-saving measures.
Maintain updated cost databases for materials, hardware, accessories, labor, and subcontractors.

Coordination
Coordinate with the Design, Production, Procurement, Sales, and Project teams.
Work closely with factory teams for manufactu
