Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Hands-On Development
Write, review, and ship production-quality Node.js/NestJS backend and Next.js/React frontend code daily
Own technical architecture decisions on patterns, abstractions, service boundaries, and API design
Lead code reviews with focus on correctness, performance, security, and maintainability
Debug and resolve complex production incidents and performance bottlenecks
Design and implement core Sales modules: current homes tracking, resale pipeline,



offer management, chain tracking, completion workflows
Architect real-time portal integrations: Daft.ie, MyHome.ie, Rightmove, Zoopla, OnTheMarket

AI-Augmented Development
Champion and operationalise AI-assisted development using Claude Code as primary co-pilot tool
Define team conventions for prompt crafting, context management, and reviewing AI-generated code
Embed AI workflows into sprint cycles for boilerplate generation, test writing, refactoring, and documentation
Evaluate and introduce complementary AI tooling (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, etc.)
Track productivity metrics and report impact to engineering leadership

Team Leadership & Squad Management
Line-manage and mentor 10–15 engineers across 3–4 Scrum squads
Oversee daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and sprint reviews
Act as technical escalation point, unblocking engineers and resolving technical disagreements
