Ithis Hospital is seeking a dedicated and experienced Staff Nurse – Labour Room to join our eam. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in labour room nursing, maternity care, and emergency obstetric procedures while ensuring compassionate, safe, and high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal patients.
Monitor maternal and fetal well-being during labour.
Assist obstetricians and gynecologists during normal and assisted deliveries.
Prepare and maintain labour room equipment, instruments, and emergency supplies.
Identify and respond promptly to obstetric emergencies.
Administer medications and IV fluids as prescribed.
Maintain accurate nursing documentation and patient records.
Ensure infection prevention and control protocols are followed.
Educate mothers and families regarding labour, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
Collaborate with doctors, pediatricians, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.





Requirements
B.Sc. Nursing or GNM qualification.
Valid Kerala Nursing Council (KNMC) registration.
Minimum 2–3 years of Labour Room experience in a hospital.
Knowledge of maternal and newborn care protocols.
Ability to work rotational shifts, including nights.
Positive communication, teamwork, and patient care skills.
BLS certification is preferred.
