About the Role

We are looking for a agile Head – RAC (Room Air Conditioner) & Home Appliance Engineering to lead engineering, product development, and technology initiatives for Room Air Conditioners and Home Appliances. The ideal candidate will drive product engineering, innovation, localization, cost optimization, and manufacturing support while ensuring world-class quality, reliability, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the Engineering function for Room Air Conditioners (Split, Window, Inverter ACs) and Home Appliances.
Drive end-to-end product engineering from concept, design, validation, and production launch.
Develop engineering strategies aligned with business objectives and product roadmap.
Lead Recent Product Development (NPD) and Recent Product Introduction (NPI).
Optimize product performance, quality, manufacturability, and cost.
Collaborate with R&D;, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, Supply Chain, Sales, and Service teams.
Ensure compliance with BIS, BEE Star Rating, IEC, ISO, RoHS, and other applicable standards.
Lead design reviews,



engineering change management (ECN/ECR), and product lifecycle management.
Drive localization and supplier development for key components.
Support manufacturing with technical problem-solving and process improvements.
Analyze field failures, warranty claims, and customer feedback to improve product reliability.
Manage engineering budgets, project timelines, and technical resources.
Build and mentor a high-performing engineering team.
