The Impact You Will Have in This Role
The Database Administrator will provide critical database administrative support for all DTCC settings, including Development, QA, client test, and our high-availability production and disaster recovery (DR) data centers.
The role requires extensive knowledge of MSSQL database administration and the ability to support additional database platforms, including Aurora PostgreSQL and Oracle.
This DBA will play a key role in the creation of current processes and solutions, ensuring optimal performance, data security, and reliability within a mission-critical Financial Services infrastructure setting.




What You'll Do
Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server instances (both on-premises and cloud-based)
Implement and manage high-availability solutions such as Always On Availability Groups and clustering
Support development, QA, PSE, and production environments using ServiceNow ticketing system
Review production performance reports for variances from normal operation
Optimize SQL queries and indexes for better efficiency
Analyze queries and recommend tuning strategies
Maintain database performance by calculating optimum values for database parameters and implementing new releases
Perform database backup and recovery strategy using tools like SQL Server backup, log shipping, and other technologies
Provide 3rd-level support for DTCC's critical production environments
Participate in root cause analysis for database issues
Support database functions by designing and coding ut
