Description
The Senior Manager - Transmission Testing will be a key driver in maintaining the quality and performance standards of Daimler India's Transmission department. This role requires a deep understanding of transmission components and the ability to develop and execute test programs. The successful candidate will collaborate with a global team of engineers, leveraging their expertise to ensure the reliability and performance of transmission systems. They will also play a crucial role in driving continuous improvement initiatives, staying updated with industry best practices, and ensuring the company remains at the forefront of transmission technology.

Responsibilities
Develop and execute comprehensive test programs for transmission aggregates, subsystems, and components, ensuring adherence to industry standards and company protocols.
Plan and conduct validation activities for critical transmission components, including gears, bearings, shifting systems, and synchronizers, to ensure optimal performance and reliability.




Perform bench tests to evaluate the performance, durability, and reliability of transmissions, analyzing test data using advanced tools like DIAdem and MATLAB.
Conduct root cause investigations and damage analysis on transmission parts, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Apply measurement technology and statistical tools to estimate the reliability of transmission components, ensuring they meet or exceed industry benchmarks.
Collaborate with international engineering teams and test bench suppliers to maintain and optimize test benches, ensuring they are properly calibrated and maintained.
Stay updated with the latest measurement equipment and methods, applying this knowledge to test bench setup and instrumentation.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives based on test results and industry best practices, identifying prospects for process optimization and efficiency gains.
