The Steward plays an essential role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas within the establishment. As a key member of the hospitality team, the Steward ensures that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized, contributing to a protected and excellent dining experience for guests. This position goes beyond basic cleanliness; it involves actively supporting kitchen operations, collaborating with chefs, and helping to maintain inventory levels.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Wash and sanitize all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans.
Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including floors, countertops, and storage units.
Help in the preparation area by getting ingredients ready as required by chefs.
Assist in the setup and breakdown of dining room and banquet areas.
Empty trash and recycling bins regularly to maintain hygiene standards.
Keep inventory of cleaning supplies and report low stock levels to management.




Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all cleaning practices.
Support kitchen staff during peak times by providing assistance as needed.
Assist with receiving and storing food and supplies delivered to the kitchen.
Maintain orderly storage spaces and ensure proper labeling of kitchen items.
Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues to the supervisor.
Participate in team meetings and training sessions to improve job performance.
Help in serving food during busy hours when necessary.
Uphold high standards of personal hygiene and cleanliness.
Contribute to creating a positive and effective work workplace.

Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is a plus.
Familiarity with kitchen equipment and cleaning supplies.
Basic understanding of food safety standards.
Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items.
