What you’ll build:
We are seeking a motivated professional to grow into a technical legal compliance engineer, helping mitigate third-party software risks at SAP through technical analysis, tooling, and automation.
You will conduct code audits using Software Composition Analysis (SCA) tools, assess risk, and communicate findings to engineering teams and senior stakeholders. You will also contribute to AI-enabled automation of compliance processes.
A solid interest in software licensing, intellectual property, and up-to-date development practices—including AI—is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Apply SAP's open source and IP compliance policies across global development teams
Conduct SCA-based code audits; assess and review risks with engineering
Coordinate remediation with Product Owners, Global Legal, and Global Security
Enhance automated compliance tooling, including AI/LLM-based solutions
Support internal frameworks for source code scanning (Java, JavaScript, Python, Ruby, Groovy, Perl)
Lead change-management initiatives and rollout of new compliance tools
Collaborate with stakeholders across functions and regions
Drive operational excellence, documentation and knowledge management
What you bring:
Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
3+ years in software development, quality engineering, security/compliance, or testing (Java, C/C++/C#, or similar)
Solid understanding of software development lifecycles and governa
