We are seeking an experienced SAP BODS Upgrade Specialist to lead and support platform upgrades, repository migrations, workplace transitions, and troubleshooting activities. The resource will be responsible for executing the BI Data Services upgrade from version 4.3 to the 2025 release across multiple towers. Deep SAP BI experience is required for this position.

Key Responsibilities

SAP BODS Upgrade & Migration
Plan, coordinate, and execute SAP BODS version upgrades across Development, QA, and Production environments.
Perform repository migration activities (Local, Central, Profiler).
Migrate jobs, dataflows, workflows, custom scripts, and configurations.
Validate ETL job compatibility with upgraded versions.
Execute postâupgrade testing, production cutover, and rollback plans.

Troubleshooting & Support
Resolve issues during upgrades, migrations, and repository conversions.
Troubleshoot Job Server, Access Server, Management Console, and Designer issues.
Investigate job failures, performance bottlenecks, and connectivity problems.




Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.

Administration & Maintenance
Install, configure, and maintain SAP BODS environments.
Manage repositories, security settings, users, and access controls.
Configure Job Servers, Repository Managers, and Data Services Management Console.
Monitor system health, performance, and ETL execution.

Performance Optimization
Tune ETL jobs and data flows for efficiency.
Optimize database interactions (Oracle, SQL Server, SAP HANA, Sybase).
Resolve resource utilization issues impacting job execution.

Documentation & Compliance
Create upgrade runbooks, migration plans, and technical documentation.
Maintain upgrade/migration reports.
Ensure adherence to organizational governance and change management standards.
