Job Description:

The Procurement Lead will be based in Chennai, India. In this position, you will report to the Manager, Procurement. We are looking for a dynamic supply chain qualified to lead US focused Purchasing team within materials planning department. This individual will own and ensure all the purchasing activity is under compliance for US region. He/She will be responsible to maintain and update the Purchasing SOP, manage the buyer workloads, and support any audit process requirements.
The successful candidate will bring in blend of robust analytical skill and tactical expertise to help manage a world-class purchasing team. Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:
Reviews requisitions for clarity and accuracy, obtains current quotes from suppliers and processes requisitions to purchase orders
Manages approval workflow of purchase orders, ensuring appropriate parties review and approve all purchases prior to transmission of PO to supplier
Monitors past due or partially received POs to ensure all items are received prior to payment
Works with accounting to resolve supplier payment discrepancies and issues
Maintains electronic document database, ensuring appropriate documentation is always filed and current
Provides customer service to internal and external stakeholders to ensure proper assistance is provided in procuring and delivering requisite goods and services
Provides purchasing planning and control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends
Support Auditors and ensure all the purchasing activity is under
