Overview

Seeking an experienced Chassis Design & Release Engineer with expertise in the design, development, validation, and release of chassis systems including Suspension (Structural & Tunable Components), Steering, Brakes, Wheels & Tires, Pedal Systems, Mounts & Bushings, Corner Modules, and Chassis Accessories. The role involves end-to-end product development, supplier coordination, CAD/PLM management, vehicle integration, validation, and quality improvement activities while ensuring delivery of cost, quality, and timing targets in an automotive OEM/Tier-1 workplace. Candidates should possess robust knowledge of vehicle dynamics, durability, NVH, suspension kinematics, and automotive product development processes.

Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, validation, and release of Chassis systems and components for current and future vehicle programs.
Own engineering activities for one or more chassis domains including:
Suspension Structural Components (Control Arms, Links, Cradles, Twist Beams, Knuckles, Hub & Bearing Assemblies, Ball Joints, Frames, Fasteners)




Suspension Tunable Components (Shock Absorbers, Struts, Springs, Stabilizer Bars, Bushings, Top Mounts, Jounce Bumpers, Corner Modules)
Steering Systems
Brake Systems
Wheels & Tires
Pedal Systems
Chassis Accessories and Underbody Protection Systems
Perform component design, CAD development, packaging studies, tolerance analysis, and BOM/PLM management.
Define system requirements, performance targets, durability objectives, and development plans to meet vehicle quality, cost, weight, and timing targets.
Manage end-to-end product development activities including requirement definition, supplier selection, technical reviews, design validation, testing, and engineering change management.
Develop and maintain DFMEA, DVP&R;, PFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP documentation, and support product validation activities.
Support vehicle dynamics, suspension kinematics, wheel alignment,
