Job Summary
We are looking for an IPDRG CDI Analyst with 2+ years of experience in IPDRG, inpatient coding, medical coding, clinical documentation, or related healthcare processes.
Candidates without direct CDI experience can also be considered, provided they have strong inpatient coding/medical coding knowledge and relevant healthcare experience.
Key Responsibilities
Review inpatient medical records, clinical documentation, discharge summaries, diagnoses, and procedures.
Analyze medical records to ensure accurate and complete documentation.
Identify documentation gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities for clarification.
Review and validate IPDRG assignment, diagnoses, procedures, complications, and comorbidities.
Apply knowledge of ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS coding guidelines.
Support clinical documentation improvement activities and physician query processes.
Validate clinical indicators against documented diagnoses.
Collaborate with coding, clinical,
and quality teams to resolve documentation and coding discrepancies.
Ensure compliance with applicable coding, documentation, and healthcare guidelines.
Participate in quality audits and support process improvement initiatives.
Maintain confidentiality and accuracy while handling patient medical records.
Candidate Profile
Minimum 2+ years of experience in any of the following:
IPDRG
Inpatient Medical Coding
Medical Coding
Clinical Documentation
DRG Validation
Inpatient Coding Audit
Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management with robust inpatient coding exposure
Direct CDI experience is NOT mandatory.
Good knowledge of ICD-10-CM / ICD-10-PCS is preferred.
Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and disease processes.
Good analytical and documentation review skills.
Solid attention to detail and ability to interpret complex medical records.
Good written and verb
