Position Title: Workplace Expert
Location: Delhi
Duration: 12 Months (Extendable based on project requirement and performance)

About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Setting Expert to support the implementation of environmental safeguards and compliance requirements for road and large-scale infrastructure projects. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring adherence to environmental regulations, project-specific environmental management measures, and Asian Development Bank (ADB) safeguard requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Environmental Assessment & Compliance
Update the investment program's Environmental Assessment and Review Framework (EARF) as required.
Update and revise the Initial Environmental Examination (IEE) and Environmental Management Plan (EMP) for project activities.
Prepare IEEs and EMPs for various project components in accordance with applicable environmental standards and guidelines.
Ensure project compliance with national environmental regulations and ADB safeguard requirements.





Environmental Management & Monitoring
Supervise and monitor the implementation of Environmental Management Plans (EMPs) across project sites.
Conduct periodic environmental inspections and assessments to identify compliance gaps and recommend corrective measures.
Prepare and submit semi-annual environmental safeguards compliance reports.
Monitor environmental performance indicators and maintain relevant documentation and records.

Stakeholder Coordination
Communicate and coordinate with project stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, consultants, and the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
Support project teams in addressing environmental compliance issues and implementing mitigation measures.
Facilitate consultations and information sharing related to environmental safeguards.
