About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager – Purchase with a solid background in the Plastic / Polymer industry, preferably from the Masterbatch or Automotive industry. The candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities, vendor development, commercial negotiations, material planning, and coordination with internal departments. Exposure to Import & Export processes is essential.

Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end purchase activities for raw materials, polymers, additives, pigments, packaging materials, consumables, and other production requirements.
Develop, evaluate, and maintain robust relationships with suppliers and vendors.
Identify current vendors and conduct vendor development, evaluation, and negotiation.
Negotiate price, payment terms, delivery schedules, quality,



and commercial terms with suppliers.
Monitor market trends, raw material prices, availability, and develop cost-effective procurement strategies.
Coordinate with Production, Stores, R&D;, Quality, Finance, and Management to ensure timely availability of materials.
Ensure purchase orders are released accurately and materials are received within the required timelines.
Handle Import & Export-related procurement activities, including coordination with suppliers, logistics partners, documentation, shipment tracking, and related commercial processes.
Maintain proper purchase records, vendor documentation, quotations, comparative statements, and purchase orders.
Monitor supplier performance, delivery timelines, quality issues, and resolve discrepancies.
Support cost reduction initiatives and identify opportunities for improving procurement efficiency.
