The L2 Network Security Engineer is responsible for providing advanced operational support, administration, and troubleshooting across customer security and network infrastructure settings. The role focuses on maintaining the availability, integrity, and security of enterprise networks through the management of firewalls, VPNs, secure connectivity solutions, and security monitoring platforms within a managed services environment.
The L2 Network Security Engineer acts as a technical escalation point for security-related incidents and operational issues, supporting the implementation of security changes, analysing threats, and ensuring compliance with operational and security standards.
Key Responsibilities
Investigate DC network faults and infrastructure alerts
Investigate DC switching, routing and network infrastructure alerts
Escalate if DC network dependency exists
Support edge routing or DC connectivity dependencies
Support DC gateway dependencies
Resolve switching, routing and connectivity issues in DC workplace
Support firewall configuration troubleshooting
Implement DC network configuration changes
Assist validation of automated network changes
Troubleshoot DC connectivity issues affecting compute/storage
Investigate DC network capacity constraints
Update technical troubleshooting guides
Provide infrastructure incident analysis
