Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced \Freelance Japanese Translator & Interpreter\ to support communication between Japanese and Indian teams at an onsite client location in Pune.
The candidate will be responsible for \Japanese ↔ English interpretation and translation\, particularly during production discussions, meetings, technical discussions, and day-to-day communication.
Key Responsibilities
Provide \Japanese ↔ English interpretation\* during meetings, discussions, and daily business communication.
Support communication between \Japanese expatriates, Indian management, engineers, and production teams\*.
* Translate emails,
reports, manuals, presentations, documents, and other business/technical content.
Provide interpretation support during \production and technical discussions\*.
* Assist Japanese team members in communicating with local employees and workers.
Prepare or assist with \Minutes of Meeting (MOM)\* and reports when required.
Understand and accurately communicate \technical and manufacturing terminology\*.
* Support Japanese visitors, management, and customers during meetings or site visits.
* Maintain confidentiality of company and client information.
* Ensure accurate and culturally appropriate communication between Japanese and Indian teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications
\JLPT N2 or above\* preferred.
Solid proficiency in \Japanese and English\*.
Minimum \2 years of qualified experience\* in Japanese translation/interpretin
