Position: Purchase Manager
Location: Chennai – Anna Nagar
Experience: 5–10 years
Qualification: Diploma / BE / B.Tech – Mechanical
Preferred Industry: Steel, PEB, Automobile, Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end procurement of raw materials, steel, components, consumables, and engineering materials.
Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers and vendors.
Obtain quotations, compare prices, negotiate rates, and finalize purchase orders.
Ensure materials are purchased as per quality, quantity, cost, and delivery requirements.
Coordinate with Production, Design, Stores, Quality, and Accounts teams for material requirements.
Monitor purchase orders and ensure on-time delivery of materials.
Maintain vendor records, quotations, purchase orders, and related documentation.
Develop alternate suppliers to ensure uninterrupted production.
Negotiate commercial terms, payment terms, lead times, and transportation costs.
Track market prices for steel and other manufacturing materials.
Handle supplier performance, delays,



quality issues, and replacement/return matters.
Ensure purchases are made within approved budgets and company policies.
Prepare regular purchase reports, cost analysis, and vendor performance reports.

Required Skills
Strong vendor negotiation and communication skills
Knowledge of steel, PEB, fabrication, or manufacturing materials
Good understanding of purchase processes and inventory requirements
Vendor development and cost reduction skills
Good knowledge of MS Excel and ERP/Purchase software
Ability to coordinate with multiple departments
Robust analytical and decision-making skills

Preference: Candidates with relevant experience in Steel / PEB / Automobile / Manufacturing industries and immediate joiners will be preferred.

Pay: ₹16,956.07 - ₹56,791.16 per month
