Job Title: MEP Engineer (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing)

Job Summary:

The MEP Engineer is responsible for the planning, design review, execution, and

maintenance of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems within the

educational institution. The role ensures all campus infrastructure operates

efficiently, safely, and in compliance with statutory regulations, providing a

conducive learning workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Project Management:

 Review MEP drawings, layouts, and specifications for recent construction and

renovation projects.

 Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, and contractors for seamless

project execution.

 Monitor installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems.

 Ensure projects are completed within timelines and budget.
Operations & Maintenance:

 Oversee the operation and maintenance of:

o Electrical systems (HT/LT panels, DG sets, UPS,



lighting systems)

o HVAC systems (Air Conditioning, ventilation)

o Plumbing systems (water supply, drainage, STP/ETP)

 Develop preventive maintenance schedules and ensure timely execution.

 Troubleshoot breakdowns and ensure minimal disruption to academic

activities.
Safety & Compliance:

 Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, safety standards, and building

codes.

 Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.

 Maintain fire safety systems (fire alarms, sprinklers, extinguishers) in

operational condition.

 Liaise with government authorities for inspections and approvals.
Energy Management:

 Monitor energy consumption and implement energy-saving initiatives.

 Promote sustainability practices such as solar systems, water conservation,

and waste management.

 Maintain records of utility usage and prepare reports.
