Roles and Responsibility
Develop mechanical designs that align with product architecture, functional requirements, and design specifications.
Ensure designs incorporate safety, reliability, quality, and manufacturability from the early stages of development.
Own mechanical design modules while balancing performance, quality, cost, and timelines.
Conduct concept development and feasibility studies and evaluate current technologies and engineering approaches.
Create and maintain detailed 3D models, manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and design documentation as per engineering standards.
Ensure seamless integration and compatibility of mechanical components within modular product architectures.
Support product development through DFM/DFA, material selection, tolerance analysis, and design optimization.
Conduct design calculations and support FEM/FEA analysis to validate mechanical performance, creating DFMEA and identifying/mitigating potential product risks.
Ensure mechanical designs meet applicable product certification and country-specific regulatory requirements,
preparing functional requirements and technical documentation for developed designs.
Plan and track assigned work, including work breakdown, timelines, and cost estimates, communicating progress to stakeholders.
Stay updated with emerging mechanical engineering technologies, tools, materials, and design practices and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including electronics, firmware, industrial design, manufacturing, and quality.
Job Requirements
B.E./B.Tech./M.Tech. in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
Robust knowledge of mechanical/structural design, CAD modeling, and manufacturing drawings.
Hands-on experience with 3D CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Creo/Pro-E, Solid Edge, or equivalent.
Valuable understanding of engineering calculations, tolerance analysis, and design validation.
Knowledge of FEM/FEA and the ability to interpret and apply simulation results.
